ABSTRACT
The emergence of survivorship care as a well-defined, evidence-based,
patient-centered component of oncology care can be directly mapped
to the pioneering contributions of cancer advocate and leader, Susan
Leigh. Consequently, today’s survivors are more likely to receive long-
term monitoring, psychological support, and the tools to advocate for
themselves.
