ABSTRACT
Depression is common in cancer and exerts toxic bio-
behavioral effects that impair treatment response and survival.
Understanding its mechanisms and trajectories is essential for
improving outcomes and advancing Susan Leigh’s vision of
whole‐person survivorship care.
