ABSTRACT

I am honored to support the nomination of Susan (Susie, as she prefers) Leigh for the Ellen L. Stovall Award (Health Professional). The nomination letters from Ana Maria Lopez and PJ Haylock exquisitely capture Susie’s passion for cancer survivorship, her important contribution as an edge runner for cancer survivorship, her impact on the wellbeing of countless cancer survivors, her thoughtful, yet relentless education of healthcare providers about cancer survivorship, and how deserving she is of this prestigious award. Susie was a close friend of Ellen Stovall and was devastated when Ellen died. I know that Ellen would smile upon this nomination!
