ABSTRACT
The number of prostate cancer survivors worldwide has increased significantly in recent years. Most patients with prostate cancer are elderly and long-life management of these patients is very com- plex. Advances in the treatment of this pathology and knowledge in the management of its natural history have made it possible to categorize the patient in relation to the different stages of tumor de- velopment and the clinical approach by which it must be managed. The management of the elderly patient with prostate cancer must therefore take into account the peculiarities of the disease and of the patient who has different needs and which must therefore be recognized and managed in the best possible way. Below we will try to clarify these peculiarities and the real needs of the patient in the different phases and categorizations of the disease and the patient.
