ABSTRACT
Prostate cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers and one of the leading causes of cancer death in males. It is closely linked to age and this justifies its highier incidence with the general population aging. There is a close correlation between prostate cancer and organic changes related to the metabolic syndrome and indirectly to sarcopenia. The purpose of this review is to clarify more the reasons for these close connections between organic conditions apparently distant from each other.
